Six teams braved the heat and humidity this year to participate in the annual CitySand competition: Marshall Craft Associates, Hord Coplan Macht, CSD, GWWO, Penza, and Gaudreau, Inc. After lots of sunscreen and a few hot-fudge sundaes (hopefully without sand contamination in either), the winners were announced, with the People's Choice Award going to Gaudreau and CSD taking home the Judge's Choice Award.
Many thanks to everyone who participated - this is truly an enjoyable event for everyone involved and also for hundreds of spectators each year.
The CSD sculpting-dynasty remains untoppled for another year, and Gaudreau seems to be starting a winning tradition of their own! Kudos!! I'm already looking forward to another great event in 2006. Bring on another round of fun, healthy competition, and SPF 50!
